Plan of Correction

715.6(d)  LICENSURE Physician Staffing

(d) A narcotic treatment program shall provide narcotic treatment physician services at least 1 hour per week onsite for every ten patients
Observations
Based on staff interview and a review of the client census and facility's physician hours there is evidence the facility is not providing sufficient medical coverage. A review of doctor's hours and program census from September 5, 2021 through October 16, 2021 was completed, and the facility was unable to provide documentation that the physician provided services at least one hour per week onsite for every ten patients. The facility did not follow through with their written plan of correction to provide sufficient medical coverage to meet the required hours by October 12, 2021.

Plan of Correction
CRNP has been hired and onboarded as of 11/5/21. Original start date was delayed due to background clearances taking longer than anticipated. Mid-level is now onsite 37 hours per week.

CD will be responsible for ensuring medical hours remain within conformance with regulation 715.6(d) and a contingency plan is in place to maintain sufficient coverage at all times. Medical director and CD will work in concert to identify backup coverage in the event the current provider is unavailable, or there is a change in staffing, for any given period of time.
