Observations
Based on a physical plant inspection, the facility failed to ensure that there were no heaters in the facility that were not permanently mounted or installed.
The findings include:
A physical plant inspection was conducted on October 2, 2014 at approximately 10:00 am The cooks office included a heater that was not permanently mounted or installed. The director was present during the physical plant inspection and confirmed the findings.

Plan of Correction
The portable space heater was removed from the facility at 11:00am on 10/2/14, when the Kitchen Supervisor arrived for duty. Kitchen supervisor was informed that no portable heaters were permitted in the facility. He stated that he understood and took heater to his car to transport home at the end of his shift. Entire staff of Conewago Place were also informed of the regulation that no Portable heaters were permitted within the facility during our monthly staff meeting 10.15.14. |
