Observations
Based on the physical plant tour, the facility failed to prohibit a heater that was not permanently mounted or installed.
The findings include:
The physical plant inspection was conducted on September 13, 2013. During the inspection, a portable space heater was observed in a closet of a counseling office.
The facility director confirmed the findings.

Plan of Correction
The closet was packed with items from the recent move, previous tenants, and previous clients who traveled with the move. These belongings had not been gone through or the closet.
The heater was removed immediately by the Program Director. All staff was reminded that portable heaters were not permitted.
Going forward all closets will be searched regularly, at least annually for heaters or any other items in question. |
