Plan of Correction Our facility director is responsible for ensuring below described plan of correction will be implemented.
1) Regarding the fire drill frequency, Providence Living Treatment Center is committed to conduct unannounced fire drill at least once a month, effective immediately. Furthermore, each fire drill will also be conducted on different day of the month at different time of the day during our business hours.
2) Regarding setting off fire alarm or smoke detector during each fire drill, our building is equipped with central fire protection system that includes inter-connected sprinkler heads, smoke detectors, pull station and fire strobes. We find it difficult to set off fire alarm or smoke detector during each fire drill without creating hardship to the rest of building tenants and having to evacuate everyone. Hence, we submitted a request for exception letter to the Director of Division of Drug and Alcohol Program Licensing on 1/28/16, requesting that we will perform monthly mock fire drill and we will obtain a copy of proof of annual testing to ensure that our building fire protection system is fully operational at all times.
Additionally, annual testing of our building's fire protection system will be performed by a qualified third-party fire company.
While the exception letter is being reviewed by DDAP, we will continue to follow the licensing regulations and ring a bell to simulate the fire alarm sounding during each monthly fire drill. |
