Observations
Based on observation, the facility failed to ensure privacy so that counseling sessions cannot be seen or heard outside the counseling room.
While waiting for facility staff, DDAP staff observed a counseling session taking place with an open door. The topic of discussion was overheard as well as details of the session.

Plan of Correction
Specific staff member in question had been with the facility less than 90 days and was retrained in supervision and compliance is being monitored. All staff have been retrained on protocols for maintaining confidentiality (doors, moving out of the lobby, white noise through either external device or through their in office computer/online resources) and ED is performing spot checks on an ongoing basis during the clinical day by walking the clinic and/or via the CCTV system. |
