Observations Based on employee records reviewed, the facility failed to ensure the mandatory HIV/AIDS training was completed within the first year of employment in one of six records reviewed, # 6. The training was completed eight months late.

Plan of Correction The cunselor received the training on 7/20/07. The problem occurred because we could not locate an approved training in the Philadelphia area. We have since begun to contact larger D&A facilities and arranged to provide reimbursement for our staff to attend approved training that they provide for their staff, Path's training director will continue to do this whenever we have a staff member who requires training and an approved training cannot be located. We will also continue to work with the Philadelphia Coalition and the BHTEN to find solutions to this problem. |
