Observations
Based on a review of staff records, the facility failed to ensure counselor assistants receive a minimum of six hours of HIV/AIDS and at least four hours of tuberculosis, sexually transmitted diseases and other health related topics training within their first year of employment.

Staff #7 was hired to the position of counselor assistant on May 16, 2022 and was in this position at the time of review. Staff #7 had until May 16, 2023 to complete a six hour HIV/AIDS training. Staff #7 completed a four-hour HIV/AIDS training on August 8, 2022. No other HIV/AIDS training was documented for Staff #7.

These findings were reviewed with facility staff during the licensing process.
