The confidentiality policies and procedures for obtaining informed consents, releasing records with a court order and releasing information to the criminal justice system were inaccurate.

Plan of Correction
The confidentiality policy for the facility has been revised in the areas that were determined to be noncompliant, and this revision was finalized October 2, 2006. Applicable areas of the policy regarding release of informaiton, and specific releases to the criminal justice system were revised in accordance with applicable sections of federal and state confidentiality law. The responsible person will be the facility firector.
Staff were informed of the revision in the policy during the clinical team meeting of October 2, 2006. The responsible person was the facility director.
The policy will be routed to all departmental staff to ensure that the revisions have been read and are understood by October 20, 2006, and will be formally placed into the minutes of the departmental staff meeting of October 18, 2006. The responsible person will be the facility director.
Clinical cases will be monitored for compliance via. individual and clinical team meetings. Responsible person will be the clinical supervisor. |
