Observations Based on a physical plant inspection on February 24, 2023, the facility failed to ensure that the water temperature did not exceed 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
The water from the sink outside of the bathroom in client room 408 was tested by thermometer and produced a result of 124 degrees Fahrenheit.
These findings were reviewed with facility staff during the licensing process.

Plan of Correction Upon testing by DDAP auditor testing water temp, Environmental Services at the Hospital was contacted. Temperature was turned down but stated it would take 6 hours to register.
The program director will randomly test hot water temperatures daily in 5 rooms for 90 days to ensure 120 degrees Fahrenheit or below.
Hot water temperatures shall be recorded on a Hot Water Temperature Log.
If hot water temperatures exceed 120 degrees Fahrenheit, Environmental Services at the Hospital will be notified immediately to correct the hot water temperature.
Once we have reached 90 days of hot water temperatures of 120 degrees Fahrenheit or below, the program director will audit hot water temperatures monthly in 5 random rooms.
