This report is a result of an renewal on-site licensure inspection conducted on September 14, 2023 by staff from the Bureau of Program Licensure. Based on the findings of the on-site inspection, 1ONR6701 Sunlight of the Spirit House was found to not be in compliance with the applicable chapters of 28 PA Code, Chapter 717 which pertains to Recovery House licensing.

§ 717.30(b)(1) LICENSURE Safety and emergency procedures - Exits
§ 717.30. Safety and emergency procedures.
(b) Exits. The licensee shall:
(1) Ensure that stairways, hallways and exits from rooms and from the drug and alcohol recovery house are unobstructed.

Observations
Based on a phyiscal plant inspection, the recovery house failed to ensure that all exits from rooms in the drug and alcohol recovery house are unobstructed.

Plan of Correction
The windows where the fire escape ladders were situated have been cleared of air conditioning units. We also got rid of the bulky dressers that were next to the window and built out new skinnier dressers that leave the window completely accessible to residents should they need to use the ladders. I have sent all the pictures of the updates to Ashlee Jones. |
