Plan of Correction Abraxas I will send both of the supervisors noted in the findings to a Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Programs (BDAP)-sponsored clinical supervisor training program. At this time, BDAP does not have a specific date available for this training. Our intent is to send the supervisors noted in the findings to the first available BDAP-sponsored clinical supervisor training.
Until the training is scheduled, the Abraxas I program manager overseeing the D&A-licensed units is providing monthly supervision to both of the supervisors listed in the findings. These supervisors have participated in a variety of on-site trainings to enhance their professional development. These trainings include, but are not limited to, coaching/mentoring employees, performance evaluation, and effective milieu management. Upcoming training topics include: cognitive behavioral therapy, corrective action, and review of treatment progress. In addition, Abraxas I is pursuing other clinical supervisor trainings sponsored by agencies listed in the Department's 01-09 Licensing Alert. Abraxas I will utilize one of these trainings should they be available in a more timely fashion than a BDAP-sponsored training.
