Plan of Correction

§ 717.17(b)(2)  LICENSURE Personnel Management

§ 717.17. Personnel management. (b) The written policies and procedures must include: (2) Rules of conduct.
Observations
Based on receipt of documentation and conversation with the owner, the recovery house rules of conduct failed to ensure residents are treated equally based on gender.

Plan of Correction
Westminster understand that the treatment should be equal based on gender but before a plan of correction is listed. i would like to clarify the statement "treated equally". females aren't allowed to have male visitors stay over because they all share rooms and its for the safety of all resident in the female houses and the male houses are typically single rooms. Signing in and out was again for the safety of our female residents. Westminster corrective action is that no resident will have sleep over guest and all resident will sign in and out

§ 717.19(a)(2)  LICENSURE Resident Rights

§ 717.19. Resident rights. (a) The licensee shall develop and implement written policies and procedures on resident rights which must include: (2) The licensee may not discriminate against a resident on the basis of age, race, sex, religion, ethnic origin, economic status, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity or expression.
Observations
Based on receipt of documentation and conversation with the owner, the recovery house failed to establish and implement policies and procedures that clearly identified the different rules between gendered houses.

Plan of Correction
the recovery house failed to establish and implement policies and procedures that clearly identified the different rules between gendered houses.

The recovery house will fix this difference by updating 2 separate policies and procedures for male and female immediately.
