Observations Based on an off site request to provide documentation of three training records to verify the general training requirements, the facility failed to provide CPR and first aid training to a sufficient number of staff.
The findings include:
Two of three training records reviewed on November 13, 2008 did not document CPR or first aid training. Training record # 1 documented a first aid expiration date of November 2007. Training record #2 documented a CPR expiration date of July 2008. Both staff are required to have CPR and First Aid training in order to provide for a sufficient number of staff to cover the hours of operation.
A phone interview with the facility director on March 2, 2009 revealed that CPR and First aid training for a sufficient number of staff to provide coverage for all hours of operation has not occurred since the annual inspection of November 14, 2008.
