INITIAL COMMENTS
This report is a result of an on-site complaint investigation conducted on October 14, 2021 by staff from the Bureau of Program Licensure. Based on the findings of the on-site complaint investigation, Narcotic Addict Rehabiliations Program Of Thomas Jefferson was found not to be in compliance with the applicable chapters of 28 PA Code which pertain to the facility.	Plan of Correction
705.8 (2) LICENSURE Heating and cooling. 705.8. Heating and cooling. The residential facility: (2) May not permit in the facility heaters that are not permanently mounted or installed.
Observations During the complaint investigation on October 14, 2021, the facility failed to ensure that there were no portable heaters in the facility. A portable heater was observed in room 108.Finding was discussed with facility staff during the complaint investigation.	Plan of Correction The heater was removed from Room 108 on 10/14/21 and all other offices were examined and any other portable heaters removed. In addition, staff were notified via email of the standard regarding portable heaters on October 15, 2021 and again on November 12, 2021. Moving forward, it shall be the responsibility of the Clinical Operations Manager to ensure compliance with the standard. Monthly tours of the environment of care, conducted in collaboration with the Program Coordinator, will result in the identification and removal of portable heaters, if identified.
