Plan of Correction
On 12/20/2022 the Facilities Manager cleaned the grease off the wall shield behind the stove. Additionally, the Executive Director, Facilities Manager and Head Chef met to discuss why the deficiency occurred. It was identified that staff training was the main component for the cause of the deficiency. As a result all applicable staff were trained on the correct process for cleaning and disinfecting food preparation areas, specifically that the food preparation areas must be cleaned immediately after preparing food.

To prevent the deficiency from recurring, the Facilities Manager has revised the Environment of Care Plan to include a "Kitchen Cleanliness Log" which must be completed after all food preparations and signed off by the responsible team member per each shift. The Kitchen Cleanliness Log report will be reviewed by the Quality Assurance Committee on a bi-monthly basis to ensure ongoing compliance.
