Plan of Correction As a result of our recent inspection deficiency, Teen Challenge has taken a look at our current policy as it pertains to students being requiring to have a physical examination prior to coming to our program. We have made a change to our policy that keeps this rule in place as a norm, however it allows for an exception to be granted for students who have special circumstances or problems that hinders them from having a physical examination prior to coming. Students who have been granted an exception will be accepted into our program with a stipulation that they have no more than 30 days to acquire a proper physical examination. Students who fall into this new category will be monitored for compliance by the medical department. This change does not reflect the norm, but the exception. The medical department staff will schedule these students for appointments and will annotate in the student's file any progress that has been made toward compliance. This policy change is effective immediately as an interim policy and will submitted to our governing board for approval at the next meeting.
The phyicical exam for stunt # 2 has been completed. Student # 4 was discharged from the program
In order to assure this does not reoccur, the medical department and Intake director will ensure that all students who are enrolled in our program will have a completed physical examination within the new required 30 day period.
