Observations
Based on the results of the physical plant inspection, the facility failed to ensure fire extinguishers were inspected and approved annually by the local fire department or fire extinguisher company.
The findings include:
The physical plant inspection was conducted on October 3, 2014. A fire extinguisher, located in the basement of the building had last been inspected in April of 2013.
These findings were reviewed with facility staff during the licensing process.

Plan of Correction
The fire extinguisher company was contacted and they completed their inspection on 10/07/2014. In order to avoid future oversights, the Director of Strategic Planning and Development will be responsible to check, initial, and date all updated tags before the fire extinguisher company can leave the building. As of 10/07/2014, Drug and Alcohol Services of Beaver Valley is in full compliance with this standard. |
