Observations
Based on a complaint investigation conducted on September 27, 2023, it was observed that the facility failed to ensure that there were no heaters that were not permanently mounted or installed in the facility. Specifically, a space heater was discovered in the conference room.
These findings were reviewed with facility staff during the complaint investigation.

Plan of Correction
The facility failed to ensure that there were no heaters that were not permanently mounted or installed in the facility. Specifically, a space heater was discovered in the conference room.
To correct this deficiency, the Executive Director brought the space heater outside and threw it in the dumpster on 09/27/2023.
To prevent the re-occurrence of this deficiency, a memo was sent out about space heaters not being allowed in any of our facilities. Also, the Clinical Supervisor will routinely check during his rounds of the facility to ensure that there are no space heaters in any of the rooms or offices. If he were to find any, he would throw them in the dumpster immediately and give a verbal or written warning to the person or persons bringing them into the facility. |
