INITIAL COMMENTS

This report is a result of an on-site initial licensure inspection conducted on October 12, 2023 by staff from the Bureau of Program Licensure. Based on the findings of the on-site inspection Sarah J. Bentley was found to not be in compliance with the applicable chapters of 28 PA Code which pertain to the facility. Therefore, deficiencies were identified during this inspection and a plan of correction is required.

§ 717.29(c)(2) LICENSURE Physical plant standards - Living room-Lounge
§ 717.29. Physical plant standards.
(c) Living rooms and lounges. The licensee shall:
(2) Maintain furnishings in a state of good repair.

Observations
Based on the physical plant inspection the recovery house failed to ensure that furniture are in good repair. Furniture in lounge areas used by residents were not in good repair.
These findings were reviewed with the recovery house staff during the licensing process

Plan of Correction
The Sarah Jane Bentley Foundation will update the furniture in the lounge living area by 12/01/2023. |
