Plan of Correction Since the initial report of bedbugs, we have taken numerous steps to correct the problem. Our pest control contractor has used chemical treatments and heat treatments on any rooms suspected of having bugs. They have searched every room in the building and brought in specially trained canines to assist. We conducted a major training effort so that staff know exactly what to look for in order to avoid a reoccurrence of the problem. We have begun to limit the amount and types of belongings patients can bring into the facility and have upgraded our luggage search procedure. We are using heat and chemicals to treat any suspect belongings or luggage. We have purchased specially designed mattress covers and placed them on all of the beds in the building. Our pest control contractor continues to inspect regularly with both trained personnel and canines. |
