Observations
Based on a physical plant inspection conducted during a complaint investigation on November 21, 2024, the facility failed to secure hard copy client records within locked storage containers.
The cabinet and door were both observed to be unlocked where the current client records are stored.
In addition, the room and the file cabinets where former client records are stored were both observed to be unlocked.
This was discussed with the Facility Director at the time of the investigation.

Plan of Correction
Executive Director and Clinical Director will perform routine checks throughout each day to ensure that all storage containers with client records are secured and locked.
This has been addressed to all staff on 11/25/24 in our weekly staff meeting. All staff have been made aware of the importance of ensuring confidentiality practices while being employed at Good Friends, Inc. |
