INITIAL COMMENTS |

Based on the findings of the on-site inspection, Rehab After Work was found not to be in compliance with the applicable chapters of 28 PA Code which pertain to the facility. 705.28. Fire safety.
(d) Fire drills. The nonresidential facility shall:
(7) Set off a fire alarm or smoke detector during each fire drill.
|
Observations Based on a review of the fire drill records and administrative documentation, the facility failed to provide documentation that the central fire alarm system was in working order pursuant to the letter of agreement with the Division dated April 2, 2008. The letter of agreement allowed the facility to utilize an alternative method for announcing fire drills so that it would not disturb the other occupants of the office building; but the program was required to have the required documentation available for review during the licensing inspection.
|
Plan of Correction The Site Director of Jenkintown will contact the building maintenance staff of the Noble Plaza and obtain proof of the yearly inspection of the central fire alarm system. A copy of the yearly inspection will be obtained from the building managment and kept in the Staff Development Log at the Jenkintown location; clearly marked in the Fire Safety section of the Log. |
