Initial Comments:

This report is the result of an off-site occupancy survey review conducted on May 30, 2024, (initial conditional temporary expansion occupancy approval granted on March 16, 2023) at The Children's Hospital Of Philadelphia, King Of Prussia Campus, 550 South Goddard Blvd, King Of Prussia, Pa. 19406, for conditional occupancy approval for temporary expansion of the exisiting Emergency Department (ED Surge) of an area consisting of two Intake Rooms, Exam Rooms 1-19, with clinical support areas in a space originally occupied by the Urgent Care Department, located on the Ground Floor of the hospital building to service ED Patients with ESI Level 3, 4, 5. Concurrently with the ED Expansion (ED Surge), the Urgent Care Department, ground floor will relocate to an existing unoccupied third floor patient care unit which includes a designated staff monitored waiting area, nurse's station, 12 exam/treatment rooms, a Portable X-ray room, Consultation Room and supporting Clean Rooms and Soiled Utility Room. The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is granted occupancy approval beginning May 31, 2024, through October 31, 2024, for the Emergency Department (ED Surge) expansion, ground floor and Urgent Care Department relocation to the third floor, based on the facility's compliance with the conditions communicated to the facility by the "Department" during the March 16, 2023, and December 12, 2023, on-site surveys inclusive of all applicable requirements of the Pennsylvania Department of Health's Rules and Regulations for Hospitals, 28 Pa Code, Part IV, Subparts A and B, November 1987, as amended June 1998 and the current edition of the Guidelines for Design and Construction of Hospital and Health Care Facilities.
