Based on a revisit to an unannounced Medicare Recertification Survey completed on October 24-25, 2023, it was determined that Penn Highlands Tyrone was in substantial compliance with the requirements of the Life Safety Code for an existing critical access health care occupancy. Compliance with the National Fire Protection Association's Life Safety Code is required by 42 CFR 485.623(d).

This is a two-story, Type II (222), fire resistive building, with a basement, that is partially sprinklered.

Based on an unannounced Medicare Recertification Survey completed on October 25, 2023, at Tyrone Rural Health Clinic, a Penn Highlands Tyrone Off-Site location, it was determined there were no deficiencies identified under the requirements of the Life Safety Code for an existing business occupancy. Compliance with the National Fire Protection Association's Life Safety Code is required by 42 CFR 485.623 (d).

This is a one-story, Type V (000), unprotected wood frame building, with a basement, that is not sprinklered.
