Observations
Interviews with facility staff were conducted on June 30, 2017. Based on these interviews, the facility failed to secure sufficient dispensing staff to ensure that all patients are medicated within 15 minutes of arrival at the dispensing area as it was reported that during the months of May and June there had been issues with medication administration times due to staffing issues.

Action/ Plan: The Nurse Manager will hire per diem nurses to cover vacation and weekends. The Nurse Manager has hired one per diem/weekend nurse. The Nurse Manager is continuing to interview candidates for the per diem position. The per diem nurse will be hired by August 31, 2017.
