Observations
Based on staff interviews and a review of administrative policies, the facility failed to ensure the confidentiality and safety to all patients. Per the Patient Telephone Use policy, to ensure the confidentiality and safety of all patients, personal cell phones are not permitted to be used inside the building. Cell phone usage was observed in video footage dated September 19, 2022.

Plan of Correction
Executive Director will work with Corporate Leadership Team in order to update Patient Telephone Use policy to match the guidance provided to patients in the Patient Handbook and posted signage. Patient Telephone Use policy will be update to specifically state "in order to maintain confidentiality of all patients, no video or photos may be taken while on ARS premises." This policy will be updated by 11/15/22 and provided to all staff members by Executive Director. Office Manager and Facility Navigator will monitor lobby area to ensure confidentiality issues do not reoccur. |
