§ 717.23 LICENSURE Notification of decision to end residency
§ 717.23. Notification of decision to end residency.
(a) The licensee shall notify the resident in writing of a decision to end residency. The notice must include the reason and a timeframe for ending residency.
(b) The resident shall have an opportunity to request the licensee reconsider a decision to end residency before the decision to end residency takes effect.
(c) The resident may decide to end residency without providing a reason to the licensee.
|
Observations Based upon review of the documentation and interview with the compainant it was determined that resident was not provided an opportunity to request the licensee reconsider a decision to end residency before the decision to end residency takes effect.
|
Plan of Correction 1. The licensee will take the same language that was already in the Resident Handbook that states a resident may ask for reconsideration for residency when being discharged before a final decision is rendered and the licensee will add it to the Ending Residency Form.
2. The House Manager will make sure this is implemented.
3. This was already implemented on 09/23/26. The inspecting agent approved the Ending Residency Form changes.
