Based on a revisit to an unannounced Medicare Recertification Survey completed on October 25-26, 2021, it was determined that Clarks Summit State Hospital was in substantial compliance with the requirements of the Life Safety Code for an existing psychiatric hospital health care occupancy. Compliance with the National Fire Protection Association's Life Safety Code is required by 42 CFR 482.41(b).
This is a one story, Type II (000), unprotected, noncombustible building, with a basement, that is non-sprinklered.
