NORTHEAST REGIONAL SURGERY CENTER - Inspection Results	Scope of Citation Number of Residents Affected By Deficient Practice

Initial comments:

This report is the result of an occupancy survey conducted on June 11, 2024, and September 5, 2024, for occupancy on September 10, 2024, at Northeast Regional Surgery Center, which included the extension of an existing procedure: lumbar puncture or spinal tap procedure to be performed allowing the surgeon to enter the intrathecal space to administer a dose of medication into the fluid around the spinal cord (the intrathecal space).

Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code: 64483 - Introduction/Injection of Anesthetic Agent (Nerve Block), Diagnostic or Therapeutic Procedures on the Somatic Nerves

Based on the occupancy survey, it was determined the facility was in compliance with all applicable requirements of the Pennsylvania Department of Health's Rules and Regulations for Ambulatory Care Facilities, Annex A, Title 28, Part IV, Subparts A and F, Chapters 551-573, November 1999 and the current edition of the Guidelines for Design and Construction of Outpatient Facilities.
