GEISINGER WYOMING VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER - Inspection Results	Scope of Citation Number of Residents Affected By Deficient Practice

Initial comments:

This report is the result of an occupancy survey conducted on March 14, 2024, for occupancy on March 25, 2024, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center (GWVMC) Medical Office Building located at 950 East Mountain Blvd, Wilkes Barre a Hospital Outpatient (HOP) site of Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, which included new construction to include a lobby, public restrooms, an ambulance bay entrance, and elevators. This also includes review of Level 4 which holds 8 on-call rooms, staff toilets and showers, staff breakroom and educational classrooms.

Based on the occupancy survey, it was determined the facility was in compliance with all applicable requirements of the Pennsylvania Department of Health's Rules and Regulations for Hospitals, 28 PA Code, Part IV, Subparts A and B, November 1987, as amended June 1998 and the current edition of the Guidelines for Design and Construction of Hospital and Health Care Facilities.
