This report is the result of a special monitoring survey on March 7, 2024, at UPMC Cole. Facility attestations for the following were reviewed:

New Services:
Scalp Cooling, beginning January 8, 2024. Event ID OHFH11.
Telemedicine Stroke and Neurology, beginning January 30, 2024. Event ID TM7Q11.

New Equipment:
Paxman Cooling Cap System, beginning January 8, 2024. Event ID KW8V11.
Telemedicine Carts, beginning January 30, 2024. Event ID K70611.
Image Guidance System (IGS) Navigation Slealth System, beginning January 26, 2024. Event ID V9DY11.

Replacement Equipment:
HUGS Infant Protection System, beginning February 22, 2024. Event ID KZY711.

It was determined the facility was in compliance with the applicable requirements of the Pennsylvania Department of Health ' s Rules and Regulations for Hospitals, 28 Pa Code, Part IV, Subparts A and B, November 1987, as amended June 1998.
